QR Scan Tracking

When a buyer scans a QR code on a vehicle, we collect the scan timestamp, approximate location (city/region/country via IP lookup), and device type. This data is visible to the vehicle’s dealer or seller through their dashboard analytics. We do not share individual scanner identities.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

• Between dealers and consumers when a vehicle offer is accepted — both parties receive each other’s contact details to complete the transaction
• Between dealers on the Wants Board when a dealer responds to another dealer’s want
• With payment processors to handle subscription and listing fee transactions
• With hosting and email service providers who help operate the platform under confidentiality agreements
• When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Vehicle listings are retained for the duration of your subscription or listing plan. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at privacy@layer1auto.com.
